Malene is a senior legal, regulatory and risk leader with a distinguished career shaping governance, oversight and transformation across major Nordic financial institutions and supervisory bodies. She has served as Deputy Group General Counsel at Danske Bank, Assistant Director General at the Danish FSA, and Head of several high-impact risk, legal and execution functions at Nordea – including responsibility for the Group-wide Risk Reduction Programme, a €250m regulatory change portfolio spanning 500+ internal and external specialists. She also oversaw management control and regulatory oversight across the Group Business Support organisation.
Her expertise covers regulatory strategy, legal risk management and the delivery of enterprise-wide programmes across corporate governance, BCBS 239, GDPR, DORA, operational risk, data privacy and corporate governance. Malene has worked closely with Boards, executive committees and European supervisory authorities, strengthening institutional maturity and embedding robust, defensible governance at scale.
Alongside her executive roles, she has served on pension and brokerage boards, contributed to ECB expert groups, published extensively on financial legislation and held academic positions at the University of Copenhagen. Her background includes legal secondments with leading US and UK law firms, giving her a rare combination of supervisory, legal and operational insight.

Brandon is a senior risk, strategy and digital transformation executive with a global track record across the UK, Nordics, Europe and the US. He has led enterprise risk strategies, large-scale digital and regulatory transformation portfolios, and high-severity remediation programmes within Nordea and Lloyds Banking Group – advising Boards, Group Executives and oversight committees on emerging risks, supervisory expectations and institutional resilience.
At Nordea, Brandon held several leadership and executive advisor roles. Most recently he was Head of BCBS 239 and served as Deputy Head of the Group’s Risk Reduction Division, shaping a multi-year regulatory change portfolio and directing global deliveries end-to-end. He played a central role in supervisory engagement with European authorities, rebuilding regulatory confidence and delivering ECB On-Site Inspection outcomes. His previous responsibilities span Chief Data Officer–equivalent roles, oversight of AI and model governance, and leadership of risk strategy across multi-country operations.
Earlier in his career, Brandon worked in some of the world’s most highly regulated industries, including aerospace and defence, before moving into financial services. He has since driven risk oversight for major digital transformations, complex divestments and cyber-investment strategies. Through his management consulting background, he has advised global Tier-1 institutions on strategy, risk and analytics, and is a frequent speaker on AI risk, digital transformation and rogue trading.
